Cherry is responsible for both software development and the general operational management of Go Virtual Medical, including human resources and recruitment.
Background
Cherry brings a wealth of expertise to GVM, having worked in organisations of all sizes from multi-national corporates to small businesses, and in a variety of roles including software instructor, IT consultant, project manager, management consultant, and senior manager. Most of her corporate experience was in the IT industry, starting in 1980 and culminating in her role as general manager of the software solutions division at Gen-i, New Zealand’s second largest systems integrator, a position she held for five years. She then escaped the corporate world and spent the next five years as a business advisor and coach to small and medium businesses, and also became a multi-business owner with her husband, before being enticed back into the IT industry in 2008 to work with GVM. She has recently led the recruitment process which has seen GVM grow from 6 to 25 people in three months, and is looking forward to further expansion to match GVM’s continued success in the market.
