Simulator
The simulator is unique. A second mouse enables the learner to use two hands.
The focus of the simulator is on the decisions and actions necessary to perform the procedures. Using high quality computer graphics in a virtual reality environment, the learner is able to perform the procedure using pre-rendered sequences. This reduces the high cost usually associated with hardware based simulators and emphasizes the cognitive elements of the procedure.
In the learning mode there is immediate feedback by the cursor turning green or red and help files provide hints when needed.
In the test mode there is no assistance.
In both modes the learner's performance is scored and logged.
